I'm Kasia Gawlak, a self-taught website development, media design, content creation and marketing professional residing in Edmonton, AB. I specialize in clean, modern and user-friendly website concepts, with a focus on customizing and implementing for WordPress, the popular, full-featured open source content management platform.
Throughout my 12 year career, I've gained experience in multimedia & video production, print & graphic design, search engine optimization, online marketing initiatives, traffic analysis/reporting and copywriting for a variety of mediums.
More recently, I've expanded into public relations and event promotions/planning. I'm passionate about internet culture and social media. Lisa Nicole Grace is an independent singer/songwriter from Edmonton. Her music could be classified as folk, with elements of pop and country. Lisa initially approached me about her website in August of 2011, as she was gearing up to release her first full-length album, Prairie Belle, looking to revamp the design in line with her vision for the look and feel of her new album.

Just Breathe Edmonton
Just Breathe Edmonton was a non-profit initiative with the goal of raising awareness about domestic violence against women and families, and raising $100,000 in support of WIN House (Edmonton Women’s Shelters) through campaign partnerships with local businesses, as well as individual donations. The Just Breathe campaign took place on September 25, 2011.
Edmonton SlutWalk 2011
SlutWalk is a global protest movement founded in Toronto in April 2011. Its primary goal is to challenge a prevalent cultural imperative that blames the victims of sexual assault for the violence perpetrated against them. Edmonton’s SlutWalk took place on June 4, 2011.
